Check your browser settings. They may be set to "never open images."

Got to your ctrl panel...open "internet options"...Hit the advanced
tab.....Under the section "Multimedia" see if "show pictures" is
unchecked.....it should be checked.

Hi Tor,

Give this a read:

I'm not a BIG fan of system restore but if need be than I guess you
could use it as a last alternative, or, just restore all the defaults,
you will see the button in the exact area I guided you to first at the
advanced tab....Or it may be as simple as unchecking the show pictures
box apply it, re-check it apply again....Believe me I've seen funnier
things happen.

This is your own "personal" computer correct??

What firewall is your system running? I know in ZoneAlarm (the one I use),
if I disable downloading 3rd party cookies (adware), then is also blocks any
pictures associated with the link. Also, I believe in SP2, with the PopUp
option in High Mode, it blocks 3rd Party and some 2nd party cookies, again
the pictures associated with them will be blocked also.
