While trying to use Transitions......shuts down

While trying to use a transition or an effect, WMM2 just shuts down. I can reopen the prog and then the file, but when I try to use those tools again it will repeat this process.....

Have you checked out PapaJohn's website (http://www.papajohn.org)? Look
under the Problem Solving...Acceleration and Codecs section.
