The MS mouse site is not very clear on this. Which wireless MS mouse does
still have program assignable buttons?
To be clear..with my "old" MS wireless explorer I could assign the wheel
button to be the esc key in Motocross Madness 2.
With my "new improved" MS Wireless Explorer 2.o mouse that important feature
has been stripped away with no announcement.

So..which MS wireless mouse do I have to buy NOW to get these features back?
What a load of crapola IMHO!!!

Hi,

The difference is not in the mouse, but in the software. To use all of the
functionality available in the new wireless 2.0 mice you need Intellipoint
5.0. Intellipoint 5.0 does not have the program specific assignments,
however - So you must use Intellipoint 4.x, which is what the wireless 1.0
mice used.

IP 4.1 software does NOT enable program assignable buttons with the new
Wireless Explorer 2.0 mouse. Why are you posting totally wrong information?
You obviously have not done this yourself or you would have known the old IP
software does not enable the "old stripped away functions" in the Wireless
Intellimouse Explorer 2.0

I knew this fact already (and you did not) so that is why I ask which MS
wireless mouse do I have to buy NOW to regain what was secretly stripped
away by Bill gates????

Hi;
RLOL: Please and let's go easy on the tempers in here as the temp on my CPU
just went critical.
No one was maimed or injured.

May I offer that v.4."something" did offer the function....if biological
memory serves me right!
Don't ask for "digital" 0-1 proof. I looked with "catfish" thru the CD
collection but can't locate.

Maybe not all variations of "4" but at least one did or I'm going completely
senile and bongo.

We are really trying. We're human nevertheless. Not machines.

Erroirs dwo happpen lique oon dthis heir lion.

But I believe that it doesn't recognise the new mouse, which is why it
doesn't enable the features. I think Charlie will have to buy an old
mouse that the 4.x version knows about. Or wait until Microsoft fixes
the problem. I really hope someone from MS is watching this group
thinking "how could we be so stupid?"

I do not believe that MS is watching these "public" newsgroups. If they
were, a lot of their software would BE WORKING FINALLY.

Hi,

It takes time for Microsoft to test and release software. it can not be done
instantly or overnight. Microsoft is definitely aware of its customers
demands for future versions of Intellipoint.

Hi,

Relax. I made an error. I apologise. There is no reason to get hostile over
it.
