Which Version?

Hi
Im buying a new computer that is custom built and will have a blank hard drive with no operating system. However i am not sure which version of windows to by (OEM, RET). I know for sure it isnt the update. Any help will be gratly appreciated

With a new system, the OEM version makes sense if you are not likely going
to retire the system or upgrade the MB for a couple years. If you upgrade
your MB or system regularly, then you should get the retail version. If you
have a currently unused Win 95/98/Me CD, you can use the upgrade version to
clean install your new system.
One tip on either version is to not immediately activate, wait till you get
the system working properly. You have 30 days to activate.
You boot from the CD and do a clean install.
