I am looking for a program or utility that I run on two different machines to
see which is faster at processing graphics, doing video etc.....

I need to know which is actually faster and or better to do the task I need
it for.

Thanks in advance!

There is lots of benchmark software around. A google search on benchmark
program should find you lots to choose from.

Be aware, however, that although benchmarks can be useful, they are not
perfect. Running the same benchmark on two computers will tell you which is
faster at running the benchmark, and that is never the same thing as
performing the actual tasks you want to perform. Different benchmarks can
even produce different results. Unless the difference is very large, treat
the results as no more than a approximation, not an absolute.

Benchmark programs do not really provide what you need. As they dont
process the files you will actually be using.

Benchmarks tell you how fast the machines run benchmarks run on the
machines, not your program. To find which is the fastest machine for *your*
use run the program on each and time each at the task. The one that works
fastest is.........
