which uninstall method is best?

As a general rule, which uninstall method is best:
1) Use the program's uninstall.
2) Use Control Panel's uninstall.

The Add/Remove control panel applet simply calls the program's
uninstaller, so these two are the same.
 
Unfortunately some programs may still leave folders and files on your PC. If
you chose the default location during the install process then check the
C:\Program Files folder for any remnants.
