I've just intalled Outlook 2000 on my new XP box. What service packs do
I need to download?

TIA.

At least SP1 for Office/Outlook 2000. There are updates after this, but you
will incur the enhanced security package that comes with it. Check out
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup.htm,
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/admin.htm, and
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm to see if it is right for
you.

As for Windows XP, SP2 is in the process of being released. This update
will ensure that automatic updates and the built-in firewall is on. This
move is done to help home users protect and keep the machine updated.
However it doesn't mean that you should go w/out antivirus. Make sure you
run a antivirus product and keep it up to date.

ps - sp2 also secures internet explorer a lot better than its predecessors.
pss - sp1a should already be installed. double click on my computer and
select help | about windows. second line should mention service pack level
if one is installed.
