Hi there, I plan to connect 3 pc's together, all xp, have a cable modem that
I need to share, all pcs have outpost, (software firewall) as im new the
network building, im really clueless which router is best for me, they vary
in price a lot, and im not sure which features I need.
ive been looking at the BEFSX41 from linksys, its quite cheap, but im not
sure about it.

Any help would be much appreciated, or any other recommendations!
Thank you

I used a Linksys BEFSR41 in the past. It worked very well for me and continues to work very well for
my middle step-son. We both have a cable ISP. I now use a Buffalo Technology WBR-G54 4-Port
Broadband Router and 802.11b/g Wireless Access Point. That also works well for me now with my cable
ISP. For reviews of other devices look at these pages...

Yes, two of my PCs are connected to the Buffalo via a 100 Mbps LAN...

By the way, my brother has a Linksys BEFVP41 which he likes very much. In his case he has a VPN
tunnel setup between his home and his office for after hours site support...

I was thinking about the WBR-G64 before, it looks like a good router. do u
have a direct comparison with the linksys router..what can one do over the
other (i've tried to research them, but not coming to much luck) as the
price between this router and linksys router is only £20, im tempted to get
teh buffalo

Thanks once again for your support

No, sorry...other than to look at the product reviews on the pages I gave you earlier...
