Using Outlook 2003.
What are the advantages/disadvantages of:
Composing messages in HTML, Rich text or Plain text?
Using Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit email messages?
Using Microsoft Office Word 2003 to read Rich Text email messages?

html: supported by most email clients. Allows rich formatting.
Plain text: Supported by (I'd say) all email clients - no formatting.
rtf: least supported by internet email clients. best for Outlook to Outlook
only or in corporate environment. Some formatting options.
Word is set as the default editor by default. Spell-check as you go and many
more features.
last one - not much unless you get a lot of rtf. best in closed environment.
The default of Word + html is usually the best for internet email. The days
of requiring plain text for internet email are long gone unless your contact
specifically prefers that.
