I am not sure if I am in the right discussion group so I apologise if I am not.

I have had to download the XP driver for my dial up modem so I could fax
from my computer.

Now that I have that driver (*.exe file), where do I save it on my hard
drive for my modem to recognise it and work?

Many thanks. Yappy Box

I would suggest your create a folder in the Root (Top Level) of
your C: drive called Downloads. Always use that folder as your
destination. After downloading, move it to a more permanent
location, such as Drivers or Apps for long term storage.

Hi
it will usually save into My Documents or My Received Files, from
there you usually have to run the *.exe file to install the drivers
for you.
There should have been instructions on the modem makers site on how to
do this.

Hope this helps
