Where to find the "Rules and Alerts"in the Outlook 2003 ?

Where should I find the "Rules and Alerts" that should occur under the
"Tools" because I am learning how to use Outlook 2003 by using a reference
books. Is it because of the changing of version?I want to create the rules,
so what and how should I do? Thanks!

The option *IS* under the tools menu. Are you saying you don't have a "Rules
and Alerts" option under Tools?

If you don't see the menu item under Tools, you may have "friendly menus"
enabled. If you see a little down-arrow at the bootom of a menu, click it.
You should then see the entire menu.
