Where to find Product ID ? if your window OS is not working.

I have Windows XP home on my computer, but currently my OS
is down. I need Product Id so I can contact Microsoft.

Anyone help ? does Product Id stored on any text file ?

No. You cannot access the Product ID without Windows being installed. If it
came preinstalled on your system then it's the manufacturer and/or vendor
you contact, not Microsoft. Microsoft does not, will not and, indeed, cannot
support OEM installation. All support - including replacement keys and
media - is the responsibility of the OEM.
 
Its not OEM installed. Its a regular retail buy. In this
case does Microsoft support ???? or I have to go for paid
support ??????????????
 
Did you try booting the computer with the XP CD in the CD drive and doing a
repair install?
 
I have tried every thing. XP is not getting install on my
PC, and now I can not go back to last working
configuration also.
