where is the windows update download path/folder

have done a windows update, and it messed up
now i cant download the corrupt updates, it only trys to reinstall from the
corrupt files
so where are the updates downloaded to, i need to know this so i can delete
them
Please!!!!!

the only place i havnt looked is the registry
and it seems that all necessary files are on my computer to run a successful
update process

please help, thanks to all!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
The contents of your DataStore folder may be the problem.

1. Delete the contents of the DataStore folder
2. Click Start.
3. Choose Run.
4. In the Run box, type: %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
5. Click OK.
6. Open the DataStore folder.
7. Delete all contents of the DataStore folder.
8. Close the window.
9. Reboot and revisit the Windows Update web site.
