Where is the Inbox file?

In what file is the information contained in the Inbox?
I have had a big crash and am trying to see if I can find
any of the data that was in my old Inbox. I have some of
my old system backed up. So I have Outlook reinstalled,
but I can't even find the current Inbox as a file. The
information is contained somewhere on the drive, of
course. What is the file called which contains the
information which is in the Inbox?

If I can find my old Inbox and Address book, can I import
the information back into Outlook?

I would at least like to try to find the files and extract
what I can "manually".

If you are using Outlook the file is called Outlook.pst.
Enable veiwing of hidden files and folders and do a
search and it will show you the directory it is in.
