where is the file directory keeping Contacts

I have synchronised all the phones & addresses from my cell phone to Outlook
contacts.
I would like to save a back up somewhere.
Where is the file directory in Outlook that I could find them in File
Explorer?

The file you need to back up is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's
where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Seems so complicated...

I don't see how. With Outlook closed, open the folder %UserProfile%\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook and copy the file(s) ening in
".pst" to some other place for safekeeping. All done.
