Hello, all.

I'm in the final throws of recovering data from a damaged disk to put back
on to my newly rebuilt Windows XP system. I have email working under MS
Outlook, but I want to import my old email data if I recover the file
properly. Problem is, I cannot find the .pst file, on the old disk or even
the new one! Does Outlook (2002 btw) use a different filename convention for
the personal file? If not, what am I missing?

Thanks in advance,

Maury

Make sure you include hidden and system files and folders when searching for
pst-file.

By default it is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

You can also locate the file by using
Rightclick the root folder (probably Outlook Today)-> Properties-> button
Advanced-> field Filename
