add contacts to desktop sidebar

How can I turn it on? or microsoft erased this solution

There is a Contacts button on the toolbar. However, with this new
mail program, Microsoft wants you to follow this sequence:
Write the body of your new message, then click on 'To:' and select the recipient.

I know it is hard to unlearn old ways of doing things.

I do not have any problem selecting the TO first before typing the body.

Neither do I.

You guys are missing the point.
The point is not whether one clicks TO first or writes the body of the email first.
With either technique you first click on Create Mail to get a compose window.

The people having problems (which is what I was commenting on) don't want to
click on Create Mail first, they want to go to Contacts first, then start a new email
from the selected contact. That latter approach is no longer very viable.

Right click a Contact and move the mouse pointer to Action and select Send
E-mail works here.

Sure, it "works", but it seems like a convoluted and inefficient way of doing things.

OK, but I'm not responsible for that. I just find ways to do things.
That's the same way you had to do it in OE.
