where has Access gone on new Mac office?

hi folks

why did access get dropped from the new mac office? I liked that programme a
lot and it took ages to learn it, now it's not there anymore!!! Any ideas?
Any alternatives? i really need to use this programme on both platforms.

Access has never been part of the Mac Office: there's never been a Mac
version of Access and, from what I've heard, it's unlikely there ever will
be one.

If you have a Windows emulation program on your Mac, you can run the Windows
version of Access.

There's never been a Mac version of Access.
