As far as I know you cannot access your GMAIL account via HTTP in Outlook,
however if you go into your GMAIL account and select the Settings options
(Top right) then the Forwarding and POP link you can then enable POP, then
select item 3 for instructions on how to configure the email client.

What kind of mail account are you trying to add? Those fields are for HTTP
mail accounts. Outlook only supports Hotmail HTTP mail accounts.

Just noticed the GMail part of your post. You need to add Gmail as a POP3
account. Follow the instructions here:

POP server: pop.gmail.com.
Port: 995.
Require SSL: Yes.
User name: your Gmail email address.
Make sure your user name includes both your Gmail account name and
"@gmail.com". If your Gmail account name is "qwertz.qwertz", for example,
type "(e-mail address removed)" as the user name.
Password: your Gmail password.

SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com.
Port: 465.
Require SSL/STARTTLS: Yes.
Require SMTP authentication: Yes.
User name: your Gmail email address.
Password: your Gmail password.

And you need to enable POP in the GMAIL Settings

Not annoying at all... the POP server is the "incoming mail server" while
the SMTP server is the "outgoing mail server"
