Where did my mail go?

I wanted to drag a mail to the archive folder. As a result of my clumsiness
with the mouse it ended up in the part saying Personal Folders. Now I can't
find it anymore, not even in Deleted Items. Where did it go?
Thanks

I see not very much: Three columns: Calendar (empty), Tasks (empty) and
Messages, with beneath that Inbox Drafts and Outbox all with 0 behind it,
which is strange because I have 1000s of mails in my Outlook folders. Should
there be another personal folders root? Or is this a black hole?

When I open Outlook express, the taskbar says 5 or 6 new messages. After 2 or
3, the incoming messages disconnects and then the taskbar message changes to
no new messages. Where did the other messages go to? This has happened
several times since I installed Outlook Express 6.

Aloha seaver7,

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002, 2003 & 2007
from the Office
family for PCs. For Outlook Express [OE] support try posting in one of these
newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com. That's MS's public news server that's the
source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups.

Right click on the Personal Folders, select Advanced Find, use all Outlook
Items and set the criteria to "today." If the item shows up, drag it to the
correct folder.

OK, thanks a lot, that worked. The location indicated after the search for
the mail was "top of personal folders". I don't where that is, but by double
clicking the mail in the list I could open it and forward to myself.

There was no need to forward it to yourself. All you had to do was drag it
to the folder in which you wanted it.

Thanks. Didn't know that I can drag from the search list.
