Where can I find the PC version of 'invisibles' - to view spacing

Hi. I'm a bit rubbish on computers. My friend showed me 'invisibles' on his
MAC and said they should be on a PC but I can't find them? They show how many
spaces are between words etc and any page breaks...

It's called "Show/Hide Nonprinting Characters" and it's the button on
the toolbar with a paragraph symbol on it.
 
Click the ¶ button on the formatting toolbar or CTRL+* to toggle the
display.
