I am a small biz owner that can't afford too much IT help. I have basic
networking needs and I am fairly able to learn technical stuff. Can someone
suggest some sources or classes or other means that I may educate my self on
very basic networking, like sharing folders, using one machine as the hard
drive for all 4 computers at the business

The Microsoft MSCE books on "Networking Essentials" is one good place.

If your local College offers the four Cisco CCNA classes to prepare for the
CCNA Exam,...take the classes, even if you don't want the CCNA. Even in the
"low tech" area I live in there are three different colleges that offer
them, all within driving distance. I learned more from those 4 classes than
any other source. Reading "Internet Documents" has never worked for
me,...nothing beats a classroom enrivronment with a teacher that knows what
they are doing as far as I am concerned.
