I keep reading news stories about MS issuing critical security updates over
the past 3-4 days. But, when I go to the MS Windows Update site and may PC
is scanned by MS I keep getting a response that there are no critical
updates.
Where are the so-called 'critical updates'?

Harry, do you have Automatic Update Service enabled? Look in Control
Panel>AdminTools>Services.
See if it's started.

Yes, Automatic Updates is enabled. When I look at the list of updates that
have been installed on my PC I see the last install was July 2, KB870669.
When I do a Knowledge Base search on that KB I get no results???!!! What is
going on?

If Automatic Updates is enabled, then your computer downloads
*Automatically*...That's why you see none on the site. I too have the
KB870669...You're good to go..."Fa-get-a-bout-it...Don't worry...Be Happy...

Thanks, Willie. But, I can't help believe we all put too much trust in MS.
I've been disappointed in the past.

"Happy" Harry

Your system is working without problems.. all critical updates are loaded
and working.. what do you have to be disappointed about exactly?
