When music/sound file inserted, presentation stops.

I was able to insert music/sound files in the presentation and it plays as soon as the presentation start, now my problem is that when the music start playing my presentation stop and it will continue again when the music ends. pls... any one can help me?
 
How are you inserting your music - have you added an exit animation to your
music clip - also, which version of PowerPoint are you using?

i'am using Powerpoint XP, and i insert the music files by using Insert Movies/Sound menu.
