Just a simpe question i click on the corner to maxamise and when i do the bottom task bar/ start bar dissappears i know it has jsut shifted lower because when i press the start button the start menu comes up jsut from lower down as to does MSN alerts pop up from lower down. If anyone can help it would be appreciated thanks alot

Right click on any unused place on taskbar click properties and see if
autohide taskbar is checked
if it is uncheck it,

thanks clay but i have checked that is seems to be more tahn taht it
is not that it is just hiden it is there yet lower down like two
inches below where my screen ends so i can see the start menu when i
press start and it comes up from lower as does oterh applications
when i maximise i cant see the bottom toolbar cos that is lower with
the task bar all i guess i need is a way to make the screen
properties sameller or something like taht

When you press the Windows key, does the Taskbar also appear? If so, in the
taskbar Properties, select the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows"
option.

Sent that last message too soon.

If the keep on top doesn't fix the problem, go to the following website and
try the fixes on Line 117 Restore Taskbar and Start Menu and/or Line 164
Restore Taskbar to Default Functionality.
