the files to harddisk begin the problem the system stop
at the SHELL32.DLL file and says that cannot copy the
file

look like this;

Windows XP Home Edition
=========================
Setup cannot copy the file: shell32.dll

. To retry, press ENTER

If you are installing from a CD, make sure the
Windows XP CD is in the CD-ROM drive.

. To skip this file, press ESC.

CAUTION: If yop skip this file, Setup may not
complete and Windows XP may not work properly

. To quit Setup, press F3

This is the message an so on with the rest of files. I
think that there is a problem with the motherboard. A
time ago i have this type of behavior when i try to
overclock a CPU on a system and then install Windows XP

In this PC I replace the HD thinking on the unit but the
system is giving me the same error. thanks for any help

I finally got around this exact same problem on my machine when
installing Windows Server 2003. The problem seems to have been with
the high speed SCSI CD-RW drive that I was using (12/10/32X Plextor) -
when I replaced it with a 4x NEC CD-ROM everything installed
perfectly.

Let me know if this helps.
