When I try to send a large attachment, it appears not to go - but.

I tried to send an email with a 2Mb attachment, the 'synchronising folders'
icon appears in the tray but it appears to fail. However, on checking with
the intended recipient, it did in fact arrive. The email was still showing
as not sent, ie still present in the 'Outbox' and nothing was in the 'Sent
Items' folder. Any thoughts?

This can be caused by antivirus scanning outgoing messages, a send/receive
interval set too low, or a server timeout value that is too small.
