when I send excel file to somebody. They receive as .dat file. .

When I send an excel file to a particular person, she receives it as a .dat
file. Does anybody know what this issue could be? I have Outlook 2002 (XP).

Stop sending in Rich-Text Format (RTF). Compose your e-mails using HTML
or plain-text.
