when i go to certain sites IE closes up
I can go to many sites no problem. i suspect i have
something turn on to do this.

My securities are at defualt.

I don't know whether this will correct your problem, but Kelly has a
fix at line 155, right "repair loss of internet access/certain
websites". Note that this is an XP-related site.
