When forwarding a message the original message is deleted

When forwarding a message the original message is deleted
form the inbox. Does anyone have any suggestions on how
to fix this?
 
Are you sure it is deleted or maybe it is just hidden...

Check your VIEW menu to see if you are set to
show only UNREAD items.

If this is true, the message is marked READ when
you forward it and then disappears from your view.

Reset your VIEW menu to CURRENT VIEW being
MESSAGES.
