When Faxing, Recipients Get Multiple Faxes

When using XP Pro's fax feature, I print to the fax print
driver from within Excel XP. I send out bids for jobs and
often have up to 200 different fax numbers which I select
out of the address book. All seems to work fine, however,
many of my recipients have called me screaming and saying
that they are receiving 10, 15, sometimes even 30 faxes
from me when I'm only sending one page to each recipient.
What the heck is going on????

I really need to fix this. I have bids to go out tomorrow
afternoon and I don't want anyone to receive multiple
copies again!

Thanks!
Eric

Are you really trying to use this basic fax program to send to 200
recipients? You are far beyond what a basic fax program designed for a
single modem could handle.
Which address book are you using and how are you selecting the recipients?

It works fine but occassionally will send 10 or 20 of the
same fax to a single person and that person always lets me
know - its never the same number. I know I'm stretching
it and I'd agree if I were sending out thousands of faxes
but it happens if I send 15 or 100 or 200. Sure, it takes
all night but it works fine except for this little
glitch.

I'm selecting contacts by hitting the address book icon
when I print to fax and then choosing the contacts from an
Exchange public folder that was set up to hold contact
information. It happens whether I'm using a personal
contact list or the Exchange Public folder list.

I haven't seen many installations that have Windows XP Fax and Exchange
server in the same profile since most Exchange clients also use a shared fax
service--so it's hard to reproduce the findings. Have you ever tried sending
from Outlook or using a DL instead of the Send Fax Wizard?

Some more questions to clarify my understanding of the problem.
(1) What do you see in the "Sent Items" of Fax Console? If you sent a fax
to 3 different recipients do you see only 3 faxes or more in the sent items?
(2) Is it that the same person is being sent fax on 2 or more different
numbers? Or are all the faxes being sent to the same number?
