There has to be more people than me that has issues with Windoze
Installer.

I've gone through every freakin' iteration of Installer repair
suggestions.

Done hour after hour of MSKB articles, Googled the livin' crap out of
what miserly error messages WinCrap spits out. Even called MS support
for the first time in 20 years.

Still can't get any progs with an .msi install extension to work
reliably. No scanner, network, etc. Some work but the big ones like
scanner etc won't. HP sux as much as MicroCrap.

If anybody has a quick fix for this please let me know.

Please don't start asking me questions about System, hardware, software,
services, yadda-yadda.

Been there, done that.

I'm not trying to be a smart-ass or know-it-all. I just need to get XP
working as good as the 98SE boot I'm running now so I can do stuf withh a
computer. Thank the powers that be that I had a dual-boot system working
before XP messed everything up.

Clearly you've missed (at least) one.

Define 'reliably'.
If anybody has a quick fix for this please let me know.
Certainly try ...

So I see ...

.... but suceeding.

Much, much later - probably never!

Yeah, yeah let's not get off on the wrong foot.

I'm serious about the Installer prob but totally fed-up with the
responses I've received up 'till now. Not from the NGs but from the
suppliers of this bloatware called an Operating System. aka:Windoze. I
knew I was in trouble when I broke down and installed 3.11 on my 286.
It's been an uphill struggle ever since.

Just PO'ed at Bill. Nice to see him using his power for the good. All
is not forgiven tho. Endless days of configuring, setting-up, repairing
and generally being a maintenance man for Billy Gs screw-ups tends to
piss one off.

Gimme a break why don'tcha? It's my birthday, 52nd, and I'm half/pissed
on Appleton Estate Jamaican Rum and some pretty sweet medicinal herb.

Must be getting to be Spring down there about now, eh?

Getting a little frosty up here in Northern Alberta.

Forget the shrimp mate, I'll bring some venison for the barbie. :0)

.... even the highest quality response is limited by the competence of
the question and the state of mind of the poser.
