what's going on with XP?

window's explorer won't run, the kids' games get hung up
and after two pages are open, IE stops responding. If
someone has an answer, please let me know...

hi,
first of all make sure you have service pack 1 installed.
get it from windows update. second, go to system (in
control panel), advanced tab, settings button in
performance section, advanced tab (again), then change
button in virtual memory section. i recommend 1500
initial and 4095 max. click the "set" button or the
changes will not take effect.
restart your computer to reinitualize the pagefile.
btw...make sure you have at least 256M of memory too. XP
sucks with any less.
