I need to have a resume for internship and was wondering what would look the
best?
By all means do not use a template; they're terrible and don't give you any
flexibility to sell what you need to sell. Go to Monster.com or look at
resume samples in a book store to get an idea what a good resume looks like.
Be sure to list a specific objective, identifying the name of the internship
and name of the employer for whom you would like to work. Yes, tailor that to
each position applied for.
Decide on headings based on what you have to market. For example, if you
participated and/or led class projects, use a category called, "Class
Projects" and detail the procedures/skills/results obtained in those projects
as well as any leadership role you played.
Be sure to list activities and leadership roles in organizations.
If your GPA is good, include that information. If not, leave it off.
If you don't have a lot of work experience, take up some space listing
classes that might not be obvious to an employer (don't list introductory
classes in your major!), particularly classes outside of your major that
relate to the internship you are going for.
Don't underestimate the "unrelated" jobs you did in high school and college.
Analyze the skills you used and include those as you detail what you did on
the job -- don't let the resume read like a dry job description.
I hope that helps. I don't have time right now to offer more advice, but
will check back again later.
Best wishes.
