What port does Windows Update use?

Greetings. I am trying to disable any unnecessary ports
in Windows XP Professional. What port does Windows
Update use to check for updates (and download the
necessary files)? I'm assuming it's using TCP port 80
(http) or TCP port 443 (https) but I'm not sure.

You receive error messages when you use Windows Update through a proxy server
or a firewall
