Since the responders do not get paid , they don't have to answer any. It
seems if you have a interesting topic and clearly post it , you most likely
will get a answer. I have just answered yours . Jym

Azzo, I am sending you THANKS for warning me the answer will probably not come in the near future. All the same I want and need to know. When trying to OPEN a Office 2000 Word doc., I get recieve an "Information Dialog Box," stating: "Data error (cyclic redundacy check)." I press OK, the floppy drive stops trying to open the doc.. What does mean and How do I fix this or DO I? DD

Try being more selective on the newsgroup you post to.

MS Office Newsgroup:

Sounds like a floppy alignment problem.

Was the floppy written on another PC? If so, format a floppy on your PC,
then take it to the other PC to copy the file to it, then try opening the
file again on your PC.

Well. maybe no one answers you in a timely matter because of the tone of what you have written or maybe no one knew the answer to your question. Remember when putting out negativity, you will only recieve negativity in return. HAVE A NICE DAY! DDD
