I just wondered where the music that plays when you first
install Windows XP Home Edition comes from. I hope i have
asked in the right group, and really like the song, so
can you tell me what it is called and where it came from?

AFAIK, the music was commissioned by Microsoft. Since it was a "work for hire",
no credit needed to be given to the artist.
