From your other post, the error message was:
Task 'econprof - Sending' reported error (0x80040201) : 'Unknown Error
0x80040201'
Well, that just sucks. If that is all Outlook 2007 shows then it omits
a lot of information. The error messages in OL2000/2002/2003 were much
more detailed. I'm still using OL2002 (no bang for the buck for me to
pay to get the later versions, I have add-ons or anti-spam programs to
make up for features added to OL2003, and OL2007 just has too many
reported problems).
Tried disabling e-mail scanning in OneCare? I don't use it so I don't
how to configure it.
According to Microsoft's KB article 238119, Extended MAPI codes, that
error code means:
MAPI_E_UNKNOWN_ENTRYID
It probably indicates a corruption within your mail profile. How many
items do you see in your Outbox folder? When you do a mail poll, what
does Outlook say regarding sending N of M messages? Does it should a
total count that doesn't match up with what you see in the Outbox?
First, see if deleting the e-mail account defined in Outlook and
recreating it fixes the problem.
Second, try running Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe") which
will not load any add-ons that ou installed into Outlook. If the
problem goes away in safe mode then an add-on is causing the problem.
Third, try rebooting Windows into its safe mode (with networking) to see
if the problem goes away to check if something you load on Windows
startup and login causes the problem.
Fourth, you could try using the Inbox Repair Tool
(
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227/en-us) to make sure your .pst
file was not corrupt but this doesn't sound like a corrupted message
store problem, to me. Make sure you save a copy of the .pst file so you
can recover it if the repair tool screws over the .pst file it works on.
Otherwise, you may have to test creating a new mail profile (Mail applet
in Control Panel) to see if that one works okay; see
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918/en-us.
