I have avg by Grisoft, spybot s and d, adaware se, winpatrol, ewido, and a
host of others to use to scan and protect. Only avg is in residence all the
time. I exit it and close it down if I use some other program such as ewido
or spy subtract. I like to use all of them while I am at the chore of
scanning. It is troublesome to sit and wait for each to finish.

Question: Is there a program whereby one could run a program, let it do its
thing, then automatically close it and automatically use the next
program, ---it do its thing and close--- and then go through each program
one wants to use---without sitting at the desktop?

If there is none then someone needs to produce it, don'tcha think?

No! You just need to learn how to use your computer.

Task Scheduler...

So you are telling me that task scheduler will close and exit AVG when it
has finished running and that avg will be removed from the bottom tray, then
open another program that I want opened and run the scan, do the necessary
clicking and deleting if needed, exit from the tray-open another program,
scan, do the necessary clicking if needed and close itself and remove itself
from the bottom tray and so on? You are telling me that Task Scheduler can
do all that? You are telling me that it can run all those programs
sequentially and automatically, and dependent upon a program closing before
another begins? I don't think so...As far as I know Task scheduler is time
oriented, and scans vary (time-wise), depending on uninstalls, deletions and
downloads and that would cripple Task Scheduler.

Are you telling me that what I requested is something that you do? If what
you say is true, then I will investigate it.

Perhaps you could write a script for this using Autoit?

There already is such a program: Hitman Pro http://www.hitmanpro.nl/
Unfortunately it is in Dutch language only.
An English version is expected soon:

Looks good & is not listed at > List of fake spyware removers

Not On the List:
There are a number of lesser-known anti-spyware applications that I
have tested but decided were not appropriate to include on the
"Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware List" above. These applications include:
