I'm trying to merge from my Outlook Express address book
to a bunch of envelopes, but when I get to the point where
I'm choosing the data source (address book), it asks me to
logon to Microsoft Exchange. What does THAT mean and how
do I log on to that?? Shouldn't I be able to access my
address book with out logging on to anything???

Yes you should and what version of Microsoft Outlook are you running so
steps can be given to remove the Microsoft Exchange transport since it
sounds like you just need to support a POP/IMAP mailbox.

Due to the Swen virus, all e-mails sent to this account will be deleted
w/out reading.

I am using Outlook Express 5.0. Thank you so much for
your help.

Outlook Express doesn't support the Exchange transport. Microsoft Outlook
does. Perhaps the program you are using to do the merge from is trying to
use the address book in Outlook and not Outlook Express. If you really do
have Microsoft Outlook 97 or 98/2000 in corporate/workgroup installed, try
going to the mail applet in the control panel in order to remove the
Microsoft Exchange transport.
