Does anyone know what the maximum hard disk size I can use
on my XP Pro SP2 system?

What is the maximum upper limit I can get away with without
having to partition it into seperate drives?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm running 2 120gb drives on XP Pro without a partition
and it is fine.
As long as your Motherboard and RAM are sufficient enough
you should not have a problem. What size is the HDD?

Using NTFS, any commercial hard drive. I think the biggest
drive now on the market is 400 GB, but that will be a TB
before long. And SATA drives will be big too. And when 64
bit processors come out the limits will be astronomical.

just to correct you... 64-bit processors are already
out....
have been for about over a year. amd 64?

Yes, I know, but they are not common yet. AMD has one on
the market now and Intel will have soon.

Probably 99%+ of the users are 32 bit systems and it will be
a while before that changes.

And I don't know if anybody has yet designed a hard drive
that can access all that possible increased address space.
