What is Lernout TruVoice for MS agent?

Periodically I review installed programs and just noticed one called,
"Lernout & Hauspie TruVoice for Microsoft Agent". Is this part of XP or
possibly spyware? I didn't knowingly install it.

It's the text to speech module used by Narrator, an accessibility option in
XP.

Will it hurt to delete it? How does this extra stuff get in there? Is it
part of Microsoft's automatic update?

This particular item is part of a default XP installation and supports a
Windows component that cannot be uninstalled. Suggest leaving it alone.
Even if you did delete it, Windows File Protection would put it right back
into place.
