Mr. Rose

I got a warning that some PC can't read this.
I didn't know I was sending it.
I was recommended to change to plain text, but did not tell me how to do so.
some tips would be nice. thanks.

If you are posting with one of the Microsoft clients then make the
appropriate changes in Tools, Options, Send. For individual messages you
can choose Format, Rich Text (HTML) or Plain Text.

HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is a structured protocol that enables
controlling how webpages (and email in some cases) are displayed. Most
people can read HTML so its okay to use it for mail messages as it allows
for more rich expression than does plain text messaging (which has no such
capability). Some loath HTML messages, which is why you might encounter
some who will get angered at receiving them.

I know this message is nearly a month old but I will respond anyway.

HTML is not a protocol; it is a language or a format. The relevant protocol
is HTTP.

Two reasons why the HTML format is avoided is that (1) HTML mail is usually
bigger than plain text; there are many reasons for that and (2) viruses and
other malware can be executed by HTML but not by plain text.
