Hi. I am using WinXP Pro. About 4 days ago, (after not doing anything but
playing a game) Windows started not wanting to shut down and I couldn't log
off. The shutdown/restart from the start menu worked, the box popped up, the
colors faded. Then when I clicked on shutdown (or restart), there was no
message error and the colors came back up. Everything else seemed to work
fine at that point. I disabled the "reboot if problem exists" and I could
shut down. I rebooted and ran Norton AntiVirus 2003, Spybot and Ad-aware. I
did not have a virus and I removed all the spyware, etc. Now, the start
button starts and I click on "Help and Support" (which I get to), and then
anything I do from there freezes the system. Even on the taskbar, I can use
the right mouse button but not the left. Outlook Express does not open
unless done from the desktop. I have received an error report that my
computer has "lost the lease to its IP address...IP### on the Network Card
with network address ###."

Help! ...please... What do I do?

game playin' will do that a lot.....besides, it's not exactly what your
parent got you that PC for...playin' games...not exactly bettering your
skills for the job market in the future....unless you wanna live with mom
and dad till your 60 or so....
