what is "address validation software" ?

I try to insert some exel information into word to create mailing address
using wisard in the "mail merge recipients" window. After selecting the files
, I validate, and a window apear telling me I need to instald address
validation software nefore I can validates the addresses of my recipients.
What should I do?
I tryied on MO web site, but no solutions...

Do you explicitly want to validate the addresses? If not, then you don't need to
use this button.
