Hello Jean,
Basically ActiveX are components withing IE that allow other functions and
or programs to run with in your browser. To enable or disable them go to...
Internet Explorer\Tools\Internet Options\Security\Click on the "Custom
Level" button
From here you can control how ActiveX controls are loaded and used within
your browser.

Interesting, I am getting the same message. It
restricts me from viewing https pages. I have checked my
browser settings and enabled ActiveX but still have the
same issue. All started after installing XP SP1.??

ActiveX is the technology that Microsoft developed to allow others to
hijack and control your browsing experience. You want to leave your
Internet security zone set to prompt or deny before an activex control
is installed and executed.

SpywareGuard is a program that will watch activex for you in the
background. And there are other anti-spyware programs that can remove
bad activex and innoculate your computer against downloading bad activex
controls.

Insecure, anonymous activex technology is an abomination.
