What is a table identifier in a manually marked table of contents

When you select text to be marked to the table of contents, what is the table
identifier (which is normally set to C)? The drop down goes from A-Z?

The web page you're posting from should have a list or tree view that
lets you pick a particular newsgroup (or "forum"). Use that list to
choose one of the groups with names beginning with "Word".
