No, it's just a regular windows-type mouse, the "ps2" designation indicates
what type of connecting system it uses (where it plugs into your pc), it
looks just like the connector the keyboard uses. The system before ps2 was
a much bigger connection, called a DIN5. Nowadays, any keyboard or mouse
you buy will probably connect using a ps2 connector, or a USB connector.

PS2 mouse (and keyboard) were released in the 1980s for the IBM PS/2
(Personal System/2) computers (8086, 286 & 386 processor based ISTR),
the IBM PS/2 computers were a replacement range for the earlier IBM
PC/XT, PC/XT 286 & PC/AT computers.
Regards Mike.

The big DIN (german acronym meaning german industry normal)was called an AT
(advanced technology)connector .

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, yes, yes it is. And according to the FAQ you must be
naked when you use it.

Though I hear the new PS3 will allow you to at least wear shoes and glasses.
But nothing else.

Unfortunately, insert the average gamer into this and it does not make for a
pretty picture.

No, prior to PS/2 port mice are Serial mice and they had a 9pin D-sub
connection. The DIN5 was "AT" connection and used for the keyboard.
