What is a dialog box?

Outlook keeps saying I have a dialog box on and that I need to close it. I am
totally lost. What is a dialog box and how can I find a dialog box that is on.
 
A dialog box is window that has a question or message for you that needs to
be answered like OK or a prompt for saving a changed document. Use ALT+TAB
to cycle through your windows

A dialog box is a pop-up like "Are you sure you want to delete" or a file
properties page that requires user input in order to close. You have one on
your desktop, probably hidden behind another window, waiting for you to
click something.
