By definition the To recipients are required attendees, the CC recipients
are optional attendees, and the BCC recipients are resources. So any mailbox
placed in To or CC is not a resource, and is either a required or optional
attendee.
Depending on the setup of that mailbox, and whether anyone actually logs
into it, any possible autoaccept behavior will vary, but in any case it
won't be a resource mailbox any longer if a To or CC.
Right, so even if it is a resource mailbox it won't behave as such if it
isn't added as such to the appointment - doesn't this frequently cause
problems?
I don't know about frequently, but I suppose it can cause problems. So would
many other things that aren't done the way they're supposed to be done.
Trying to drive while steering with your tongue will also cause problems,
but I have no idea of the frequency of that happening.
